WEBMASTER’S BLOG – BB 6
9/20/05 – Episode 30: Maggie won! I am very pleased. I am even more pleased that, for the first time in Big Brother history, I PREDICTED EACH AND EVERY VOTE CAST! Just look at the chart I created on 9/16/05 below – I don’t even have to update it with the actual results, because I nailed it! I OK, so I was unsure about half or more of the votes, and the Juror’s reasons for picking who they picked were probably a little different, but who cares? I also, by the way, was predicting Maggie as the winner for the past 7 episodes (as far back as 8/25/05), and I had previously predicted she would win during the first 3 episodes.
Anyway, I think Maggie played the best game and is a deserving winner. Congrats Maggie! The only thing left is my annual chart of who my favorite house guests were overall, based on the chart of episode-by-episode favorites below. And they were:

Janelle wins hands-down with 2285 points. Howie and Rachel and Maggie are close behind. Anyway, that’s it for Big Brother 6 – See you next year for BIG BROTHER 7! I plan to implement a special new ranking system we can track, episode-by-episode, who is the strongest player in the house, based on performance in challenges, HoH, Veto, and other competitions.
9/16/05 – Episode 29: First of all, the tiebreaker questions in the 3rd round of HoH were STUPID. What was that, a math test? Both tiebreaker questions were easily calculated if you had enough time. No wonder they were writing and writing and forced to give a number. *I* could have calculated those things.Anyway, when it all came down to it, I was sad to see Janelle leave after all this time. I think it would have been much more interesting to have Janelle vs. Ivette in the finals (and I think Ivette would have won 4-3). However, Ivette vs. Maggie is possibly more unpredictable, since there is a majority of Friendship members on the jury. And what’s with Maggie saying Ivette is going to win? Why does she keep doing that? It’s annoying. I wanted Maggie to win, but mostly because she’s a strong player, not because she avoids conflict and tells people what they want to hear. So how will the jury members vote? Well, I predict that because most of Ivette’s success was in September, AFTER most jury members were evicted, that they will vote for Maggie. Here’s my detailed prediction of how the voting will go, as I predict a very close 4-3 victory for Maggie:
PREDICTED VOTING |

However, I’m not really sure about any of the votes except for Beau’s and James’. Probably Howie and Rachel will vote for Maggie. So that’s 2 to 2, and Janelle, April, and Jennifer are toss-ups.

9/13/05 – Episode 28: I am glad they aren’t leaving 2 people in the house for the last full week like they have done in past seasons – it’s boring. So thankfully it will be over in a week and right now there are still 3 people left. After the catfight, I see Ivette as so immature that she can’t even let someone else talk without blowing up in her face. Obviously I saw this before when she fought with Kaysar, but I had forgotten. April, though a bit two-faced, to me is much more mature and level headed. If Ivette gets to the final 2, I don’t know if April can change other juror’s votes; and remember that James is more likely to vote for Ivette because of their bond, and obviously Beau and Jennifer would vote for Ivette. It should be interesting. Maggie is so politically correct – I still think that besides Janelle, Maggie is playing the best game. Unfortunately she can’t win the competitions so it will be hard for her to win it all.
9/10/05 – Episode 27: Janelle is clever so I trust her nominations to be the best ones. I guess it looks like she made a deal with April, so that could shake up The Friendship a bit. I would have nominated Maggie and April and let Ivette pick. But better to try to split up Maggie and April if possible.
9/8/05 – Episode 26: Sorry to see Howie go, but it was predictable. Big Brother DID pick a competition that Janelle could win, and she won handily! I had no idea she was a “Big Brother Historian”. I recognize some of the games from prior seasons too, but I couldn’t tell you which season they were in and what happened. Amazing. The tricky thing is that even though Janelle gets to nominate 2 people for eviction, someone from the other side (the 3rd person, not nominated) gets to choose who to evict. It should be very very interesting. Right now I predict she’ll nominate Maggie (the strongest player of The Friendship) and April so that Ivette will have to choose between them – and I think she’ll pick Maggie but it’s not as obvious as if Maggie were having to choose April or vice versa.
9/6/05 – Episode 25: The show is getting a little boring. As they do every year, they pare down to too few people with too many weeks left. In the final week, there will only be 2 people in the house – BORING! And if those 2 are Maggie and April, even more boring! Interesting to see Ivette consider evicting April for strategy – but I don’t think she would ever do it. I don’t think she’s strong enough to do it. She plays more with emotion than strategy. Poor Howie will leave and then Big Brother better pick an HoH competition that Janelle can win, or else the show will go in to slo mo very quickly. With Howie probably leaving on Thursday, Maggie is my choice and my preference to win it all.
9/3/05 – Episode 24: Glad to see Beau go—he was my least favorite player. Maggie shocked me by considering using the PoV to get rid of April after making a partnership with her (and I felt so sorry for April). However, she did have a good point strategically, that keeping the pair intact makes her less of a target. However, I think it was a little premature to think that way. Also I think she is wrong thinking she can’t beat any of the Friendship people in the final 2 – Maggie would win hands down. She is a great strategic player; however, she is playing with her heart by not using the PoV and by throwing the HoH competition to Ivette. Predictably, Ivette will nominate Howie and Janelle and the only surprise will come if one of them wins the PoV. A surprise for me when picking my favorites in the chart below – I find that Janelle’s attitude is getting on my nerves. It played OK with me when there were more people in the game. But not now. I assume she’ll be the next to go if a PoV isn’t used.
9/1/05 – Episode 23: Poor James. Oh well. It was going to happen eventually. It just made me mad that he lied to Ivette (about Janelle giving him a pity vote) while trying to stay in the house. Come on, James. Why is Jennifer still acting bitchy even in the jury house? What is wrong with her? Glad to see Howie win HoH (relieved, actually, after it looked like Beau was going to win again). Howie nominated Ivette and Beau and I guess that’s the best strategic move since they are the only real pair left that wouldn’t vote against each other no matter what. Maggie and April are stronger players but I guess it makes sense to get the pair split up. The veto might change things come Saturday. Does this also mean we’re in for another endurance test on Saturday for HoH?
8/30/05 – Episode 22: I can see people being upset that Janelle keeps winning, and maybe she did “waste” the phone call on Michael (I expected her to call her mother), but I don’t like April’s holier-than-thou attitude. Imagine how shocked The Friendship will be when they leave the house and look on the Internet and find out how hated they were! They think “America loves a villain” and that villain is Janelle? Think again. Have they never watched the show? That being said, I was surprised that April followed through and put up James. I thought she would not use the veto. And even when she did use it, I thought she would put up Beau or someone else as a pawn to get Howie out. The smart move would have been to veto Howie and put James up against Janelle, and that way they could decide later which one to evict.
8/25/05 – Episode 21: Maggie is definitely (other than James, of course), the only one who seems to be playing the game strategically instead of emotionally. You gotta be cheering for her, right? The Friendship group is getting smarter, as they finally figured out that James can probably only win by taking Janelle to the final 2. I predict that Maggie convinces April to nominate James and Janelle.
8/23/05 – Episode 20: Rachel thankfully said out loud what I’ve been saying for weeks – that Howie (and she) made a mistake by nominating James and Sarah. Thank you!!! Also, I am happy that Howie apologized for his mean behavior and remarks, even if he didn’t sound completely sincere. I didn’t understand Beau’s strange nomination speech either, Rachel, so it’s not just you. I would have made the same (horse) face.
8/20/05 – Episode 19: I still wish Howie and Janelle would apologize to April and Maggie, but I guess it’s too late. They really are making the other side look like saints. And I am liking Maggie more and more, with her level head and great expressions of shock and surprise. I can see her winning it all, and I wouldn’t mind a bit. Howie and Janelle will obviously be Beau’s targets, and they should be. I was glad to see Jennifer go, but she is fooling herself when she keeps saying how it was just because she was HoH. Girl, if you had gotten James evicted like you promised, do you honestly think you would have been evicted? Hell no! Come on! Why can’t she see it? Anyway, I was hoping James would win HoH but Beau’s winning it spells the end for Kaysar’s team. Actually Howie did himself in by nominating James and Sarah weeks ago (sorry to keep mentioning this but it’s true).
8/18/05 – Episode 18: Wow things got ugly in the house. I can understand Howie and Janelle’s frustrations but I don’t like to see them acting so mean. (A little mean is good, but too much is not good). And where was Rachel when Howie was acting so crazy? I was thrilled to have Janelle win HoH but unfortunately she only gets to keep the title for a few days. I love the Double Eviction week since it speeds things up. Great nominations – I thought she would nominate April but Maggie is a more strategic choice. I didn’t like James saying (or implying) that he was on the “other side” with The Friendship, either.
8/16/05 – Episode 17: Obviously I am upset about Kaysar getting back doored instead of James. I told you when Howie was stupid enough to nominate James and Sarah that it would come back to haunt him. And it has. He could have gotten rid of one of The Friendship and solidified the numbers so that the other side had a solid majority – but failed to do that. Now James is even more likely to side with The Friendship and Kaysar’s team (what’s left of it) will have only 3 members left and will get picked off one by one, unless they can miraculously win an HoH. I am not that angry with Jennifer – more so with Kaysar for trusting her.
8/13/05 – Episode 16: Finally Jennifer is getting into the game – but it messes up my great prediction that she would win the whole thing by flying under the radar. Oh well. I am liking James even more, probably because he is so sad alone without an alliance. And Ivette really seems to be a nice person at heart, even if a bit annoying. Rachel is starting to get on my nerves, especially with her reaction to James inside the competition box. Without Eric around, The Friendship alliance, individually, don’t seem so “evil”. They are all basically good people. I still want the Sovereign whatever (I hate calling them that) to prevail.
8/11/05 – Episode 15: I really think Sarah got a raw deal – she didn’t deserve to be evicted at all. I feel sorry for James. I know he lies and isn’t trustworthy, but as the odd man out, you gotta love him. Thankfully (and Howie should be most thankful), Kaysar returned to the house. Thanks to the producers of BB for not “fudging” the results of America’s Choice (like I think they may have done in past seasons). I would love to see James win this HoH competition (and I think he has a good shot at it).
8/09/05 – Episode 14: I was so glad that James won the Power of Veto because it gives the good guys ONE MORE CHANCE to reconsider this stupid move and to get rid of someone from The Friendship. Although I do admit, it’s kinda nice to see the house operating as one, even if poor Sarah and James are the targets. April cracks me up with her paranoia and weird reactions to everything –even though I don’t really like her, she definitely makes good TV. Wow – amazing how quickly things changed and Ivette got nominated, possibly not as a pawn! The Friendship is breaking up even BEFORE Eric has a chance to return! So much for alliances. Great episode!
8/06/05 – Episode 13: I think Howie nominating James and Sarah was extremely stupid. It didn’t need to be done – at least not this week. What he did was cut down his alliance from 5 to 3. The other side has 5 in the “Friendship” and if Eric returns, 6. The “good guys” have only 3 now – Howie, Rachel, and Janelle. What was he thinking? Very very stupid! I can only hope that James DOES win PoV and that the replacement nomination will be Maggie or at least someone else from the Friendship.
8/04/05 – Episode 12: Great episode. America’s Choice will elect an evicted house guest to return! What a great twist, although I was hoping it was a different twist that I suggested years ago – America should vote every week on who should be evicted, and they should count that as 1 vote. Anyway, having Kaysar back will be great. Already I am assuming it’s him – why? He’s the most popular house guest according to the official Big Brother site’s polls. I know it WON”T be Eric because he is disliked by most of America. I think it’s great that Eric’s team will probably think it will be him and surprise! It won’t be! It’s sad for Janelle that Ashlea decided to leave the sequestered house – why, I wonder? Had enough? She was only there for one week. It’s not fair to Janelle either – she had a chance to have her partner back. Oh well. If Eric does come back (not likely), I would laugh if he came back right after Maggie gets evicted! That would be ironic. I was elated that Howie won HoH – another score for the “good guys” and Howie deserves it, as one of my favorite players.
8/02/05 – Episode 11: Enough with the product placement already! I was touched by April’s birthday, and repulsed by Beau’s bitchiness. Couldn’t they find a better movie than Four Brothers? I saw the trailer at the theatre and it looks bad.
7/30/05 – Episode 10: I am actually starting to like Maggie more, based on her meeting with James. I thought it was hilarious – he thinks she’s a cop in real life. Not surprised that she nominated Kaysar and James, after all the discussion that went into it. The problem is, James is very good at winning PoV, so who will she nominate in his place? Probably Janelle.
7/28/05 – Episode 9: Glad to see Eric go, blah blah blah. While I wanted someone from King Kaysar’s army to win the next HoH, I think it’s more interesting that Maggie won it. Who will she nominate? Will the votes be split 4 to 4 with Maggie breaking the tie for eviction? Janelle was amazingly, once again, in the “finals” for HoH— she will win it eventually!
7/26/05 – Episode 8: I certainly didn’t think it would turn around this quickly. Wow. I thought it was funny that everyone thought James and Sarah were brother and sister! Obviously I am liking James more now that he came clean and joined Kaysar’s alliance. But can he be trusted long term? I don’t think so. But I am happy with the way things are going – Kaysar is like The Godfather, pulling the strings. He said he’s been planning this for 2½ weeks but wasn’t he nominated for eviction 2½ weeks ago? Of course Eric had to pull “the religion card” and mention the Koran. He can never take the high road – he is a sore loser. I will be very glad to see him gone. I can’t wait to see him beg and plead for a deal.
7/23/05 – Episode 7: I think Janelle is proving to be the smartest house guest (except for the spelling thing). Her plan to nominate James and Maggie (which Kaysar followed) is perfect – it will definitely split apart Eric and James perfectly. I can’t believe James lies like that and thinks he will get away with it. Saying he has no partner will definitely come back to bite him – it’s extremely risky! Anyway, if the veto doesn’t change anything, I predict James, as the more threatening player, will be evicted next Thursday.
7/21/05 – Episode 6: Like the house guests, I am calmer tonight. Add the word “stupid” to Eric’s resume of adjectives. I can’t believe he reconsidered Michael’s place in the house after the big blow up. This episode I am appreciating Howie more (for spending time with Janelle), and James less (for accusing Janelle of having no self-respect when he himself admits to lying). I didn’t realize Janelle smokes – that bothers me a little – how the hell is her skin so soft and her teeth so white if she smokes? Janelle is starting to come off a little snobby, but at least she knows it and admits it. Beau said some nice things about Michael, but April is totally clueless. Mike was evicted as expected. I was thrilled beyond expectations when Kaysar won HoH! I hope he nominates Eric and Ivette for eviction, but actually it doesn’t matter who he nominates because one of the “sheep” will be leaving. Hopefully Kaysar realizes that some of the sheep are less threatening – Sarah, Beau, Howie, Rachel, etc.
7/19/05 – Episode 5: It is painful to watch Eric dominate the house like this. He has everyone on his side, except for the three sane, logical people in Janelle, Kaysar, and Michael. At this point, I see no way to turn this thing around. Michael will clearly be evicted this Thursday night. Perhaps eventually people will see through Eric – I know things have a way of turning around. But I don’t see it happening in the near future. If it does, I will rejoice. Until then I can only take solace in the fact that I am in no way related to Eric. I feel sorry for his sons – oops, there I go after his family, and “no one attacks his family!” Anyway, I have 2 words for Eric: GROW UP.
7/16/05 – Episode 4: OK – If I said there were no villains in the house, I take it back. Eric is the most obnoxious jackass in the house. He is clearly the villain. Luckily he is digging his own grave with his “leadership style” (read: bossing every one around). Unfortunately, I have to start to dislike everyone who is closely associated with him – Ivette, Maggie, etc. who were people I previously liked. I like Janelle (the “anti-Eric”) even more.
7/14/05 – Episode 3: The partners were revealed, but as the footage shows, most of the houseguests already figured out who is partnered with whom! So much for the secret! Also, I originally thought the partners idea was good, but doesn’t the partner idea mean that there are no “heroes” or “villains” in the house? How villainous can someone be if they have a best friend or partner there? It softens it a bit – too much for good entertainment, if you ask me. After they announced the partners, and showed them with each other, especially James and Sarah, immediately I felt more positive about the house guests I previously “hated”. Anyway, I was glad to have Ashlea evicted because I wanted Kaysar to stay. As mentioned before, I like James and Sarah more now after seeing them together, and I like Howie more now that I see he is Rachel’s friend. Who can I hate? I guess I’ll stick with Eric, the new Head of Household (yucch). I was sooooo hoping Janelle would beat him and she almost did.
7/12/05 – Episode 2: They changed the opening theme music! Not good! I thought the old music was great – it was good enough for 5 years, why change it now? Bad move! Eric is really getting on my nerves. OK, he’s a fireman, he’s a hero, risks his life everyday, blah blah blah. So what? If he were the least bit humble (i.e., more like Kaysar), then it would be OK. But he thinks he walks on water. Obviously I am liking Kaysar more (seems really down to earth and nice), and also Ivette more (seems really smart), even though she has an alliance with Eric. The secret room was cool, but I didn’t like the way Rachel handled it… it would have been more interesting to keep it a secret for longer. At least it makes better TV. Jennifer, the snoop, is incredibly ballsy for invading Rachel’s HoH room. I was hoping she would be switched out like Rachel was talking about, but alas, no. I am liking Ashlea more but probably just because I feel sorry for her being nominated the first week.
7/7/05 – Episode 1: Overall, an OK start. I think that it’s too soon to nominate for eviction, but OK. The problem is now that the show is not on for another week – what’s up with that? They obviously want to have a lot of footage to edit for future shows. Anyway, the new house seems kind of cool, but looks like a toy house. On to the House Guests… Ivette thinks no one can guess she’s a Lesbian? See below – I guessed it before I even saw her live, a week ago! Howie is generally a dolt and obnoxious. Jennifer I like, she seems smart, despite other HGs comments that she is a flirt. Maggie I like because of her dogs at home. James is too clever and is lying about his occupation. People like that NEVER win (except for Mr. Will) and cannot keep up the charade 24/7. I don’t like him anyway – too smarmy and cocky. Rachel seems nice but a little paranoid, probably because she’s not as young as the rest. Eric I thought I would like but he’s too bossy and judgmental (unlike me, of course J). I thought it was weird that the HGs were forming alliances simply based on which couch they were sitting on! So that happened to determine which team they were on for the competition, but what kind of reasoning is that? Shouldn’t you form alliances with people you are “close” or friendly with? Oh well, they are there in the house and I am here at home.
6/30/05 – Pre-Show Opinions of House Guests (from bio info on CBS website only) – This year they are only listing favorites from the house guests, and not quotes or bio information (other than age and occupation). So it’s hard to judge them. But I will manage to do so anyway…
April – A pharmaceutical sales rep – so, basically a liar. Just kidding J Very pretty, lots of teeth! Looks like Phoebe from “Friends”. A newlywed (awwww!). Seems down-to-earth. I like her.
Ashlea – Funny name spelling. Looks Hispanic. From Plantation, FL – probably IS Hispanic. (OK I’m realizing I will probably offend someone, somewhere, with these Webmaster Pre-show Opinions!) Favorite film is “Mr. And Mrs. Smith”?!?!? That just came out last month. She obviously has a short attention span! No favorite music?!?! Not for me (I am a HUGE music fan). Some weird answers to other questions – I don’t like her.
Beau – Age 25, single, Personal Shopper, likes chick flicks – OK he’s obviously the gay one. Could almost be related to Marcellas – they look so alike. Favorite actress is Dakota Fanning? He obviously has a lot of patience – that girl gets on my nerves. Seems OK to me.
Eric – Another firefighter named Eric on Big Brother! Very butch favorites. Good looking; seems likeable.
Howie – A 34-year-old Meteorology student. Isn’t 34 a little old to be a student? Isn’t 34 a little old for the name “Howie”? Likes Arnold S and Lee Majors as actors. From the rest of his answers, and his muscular physique, he doesn’t seem like the brightest candle on the birthday cake. Probably likeable but stupid.
Ivette – OK that name spelling really annoys me. She probably has to spell it to everyone. I’m calling her Eye-Vette even though I’m sure she wants it pronounced Eee-Vette. Another one from Florida- what is this with all the Florida folks? She likes “The L Word” – could she be the first Lesbian on Big Brother?!?! Likes softball – could be. Likes Angelina Jolie – could be. Seems likeable except for that damn name.
James – Strange guy. Some of his favorites I have never even heard of (Sofia Vergara?, Lil John?) He’s a Loss Prevention Manager, whatever that is. Get the feeling there will be a lot of losses back home while he’s in the Big Brother house? Could be gay, could be a nerd, could be a Christian virgin. Not sure at this point, and that scares me.
Janelle – Wow. Just wow. She is drop-dead gorgeous. From Florida again, but who cares? She is a knockout. She has a lot of the same favorites as I do (music and actors). You gotta love her.
Jennifer – Let’s just hope she doesn’t insist on being called Nakomis 2. She looks too much like Ivette – I’m surprised they cast her because people will get them confused. She seems OK. From Texas – I think almost everyone is from Florida or the south – what’s up with that? And so far, everyone is extremely good looking – even the ones that aren’t good looking are good looking. I hate when they don’t use “real” people. Has some favorites in common with me.
Kaysar – Say what? Hey, finally someone not from Florida or the south. What kind of name is Kaysar? (I believe it’s Persian). He should work on Motorola products from Quasar (that’s an old reference). What’s with all the “no favorites”? How the hell did he get cast with no opinions on anything? Very strange. Perhaps he’s there to be a mystery. He was also voted “Most Likely to Become a Terrorist” in high school—just kidding. Don’t write me any letters about that remark. I don’t like him at all.
Maggie – Finally! A REAL person! (Translation – she’s butt ugly). You gotta love her. Emergency Room Nurse in Las Vegas – probably used to a lot of excitement. I think I like her.
Michael – Face instantly reminds me of Scott from last year, so I am not liking Michael. But he’s an artist from Orange County, CA, so he can’t be too bad.
Rachel – Another real looking person. A single horse breeder….hmmm. Older, which is good – I was afraid the average age was going to be 22. Very outdoorsy, from Colorado. OK I guess.
Sarah – Seems cute and bubbly. OK I guess.
