The show’s theme is called “Til Death Do You Part”.

 

It’s not clear whether the teams of 2 will be competing together throughout the whole season or not, including getting nominated and evicted together. If so, it will be a short season! The House Guest Ranker will still rank people individually, but if they are paired up and win/lose everything together, both members of the pair will have the same ranking, and that’s OK.

 

BB9 will be airing Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Sundays.

The Official Big Brother 9 Website is available!
The House Guests have been announced! There are 16 House Guests!

 

The twist is that this is the “soulmates” season. Each house guest has a “soulmate” or partner in the house. So there are basically 8 “teams” of 2.

Big Brother 9 is ONE MONTH AWAY!

 

We have updated the House Guest Ranker to provide for an escalating point scale for Head of Household wins. Winning in the 1st through 10th episodes is not going to be worth as many points as winning in the 11th through 20th episodes, and even less than winning in the 21st through last episodes.

 

We have also added a subtraction of points for the lowest percentages in the polls, and we will be posting points for poll results after each episode (though they will be as of the prior episode, after the polls have “closed” for that episode). Stay tuned!

HAPPY NEW YEAR! As you can see, we have redesigned and streamlined the site for Big Brother 9, which debuts Tuesday, February 12, 2009! We hope you like the new site design.

I hope you enjoyed the Big Brother Web Directory for this season. We will definitely be back for Big Brother 9. We are considering some major changes to the site – so that we would focus on the House Guest Ranker and other statistics similar to the House Guest Records page, instead of the links. We ARE the Big Brother WEB DIRECTORY, but it’s more fun to create and update the stats than it is to search and categorize links!

 

I think it would be interesting to compile and examine certain stats, now that there have been 8 seasons of Big Brother. For example, has anyone ever won the first Head of Household competition, and went on to win all of Big Brother? Answer – it happened only once – Lisa in BB3. Why is that? Perhaps winning the first HoH is NOT a good idea, since it assures you of getting at least one enemy, and makes the other house guests view you as too powerful (that’s what happened to Kail this season). Let me know what you think – if you think these type of stats are a good or bad idea, and if you’d mind terribly not having a web directory of categorized links. Stay tuned!
